Fisher Point Mountain Biking

If you enjoyed the scenery of Walnut Canyon, then Fisher Point is an excellent follow up trail—as the two are practically neighbors. Starting at the edge of the NAU campus and stretching all the way to the mouth of Walnut Canyon, this trail is a must for anyone looking to go through pine country, gorgeous sandstone cliffs, and even a cave to peek your head in.

The 12.1 milelength and 930 foot elevation difference is certainly respectable, but plenty doable for someone of intermediate level. The smooth, wide path that turns into a comfortable singletrack is a fine ride for most of the trail. This changes at the ends turn around point, where you’ll have to take some switchbacks up to get a scenic viewpoint before heading back down to finish the loop.
