10-Mile Romp Mountain Biking
Though not quite as long as its name, this 9.6 mile trail is still a great romp through the desert near Yuma. The length and elevation gain of about 650 feet puts this trail at an intermediate level, and it makes for a sure trail to return to again and again for local bikers with alternate turns and connectors in the Sugarloaf Peak system to enjoy.
As you ascend for the first half of the ride, you’ll come to appreciate the great views all around—finally culminating with a fitting midpoint up at the top of the trail that gives a far look all around and even allows sight on some water and dunes to the west. After that, it’s mainly downhill from there, adding some extra satisfaction to your work out.
