Cathedral Rock towers over the Sedona scenery, somewhat forming a landmark heart for the city that draws all sorts to the trails up and around it. For mountain bikers, the Cathedral Rock Big Loop certainly provides the scenery you’re looking for with a worthwhile challenge.

Completely made of singletrack and hitting popular trails such as Slim Shady and Templeton, this 12.4 mile loop takes you through challenges both moderate and difficult, so only set out if you’re confident in your skills. For the most part, the trail has an excellent flow to it, but you’re sure to get technical on connecting trails that are fully red rock and have some serious switchbacking to them.
