Hawe’s Trail Network Mountain Biking

Over in Fountain Hills, the Hawes Trail Network provides a great recreation spot for hiking and biking alike past the eastern side of Phoenix. Since these trails are a lot less rocky than other preserves in the Metro Area, this is a favorite amongst cross country riders.

Less rocks doesn’t mean less to look out for, of course. There are still plenty of sharp twists and turns to excite, and in some areas you’ll need to be careful so you don’t accidentally snag a cactus. Whatever trails you take, you’ll be sure to have scenic views of the Sonoran all around you with some distant peaks or nearby closed mine shafts to spice up the scenery.
