Connecting Clay Springs and Pinetop, the 60-mile Maverick Trail winds over packed dirt and rugged rocks under the cool pines of the Apache-Sitgreaves forest. The trail has five trailheads in total along its length, so you can take the full ride there and back or come in for a manageable portion before calling it a day.
