Parker Canyon Lake Kayaking
Just 5 miles north of Mexico, Park Canyon Lake is one of Arizona’s hidden gems nestled away in a remote area. Only about a 1.5 hour drive from Tucson, Parker Canyon Lake rests at nearly a mile in elevation— making the lake a cool and green spot in the middle of the desert.
Parker Canyon Lake is a thoroughly pleasant spot to paddle on. The water is quiet, calm, and cool, and its secluded nature means the lake doesn’t get the harsh crowds you’d normally expect. The lake is thoroughly stocked with fish if you’re looking to cast in the middle of the lake, and the Marina also has plenty of rental kayaks for those who don’t have their own boat for a great weekend trip.
