Patagonia Lake Kayaking
Far to the southern side of our state and just about a 1.5 hour drive south of Tucson, Patagonia Lake State Park has a lot to offer visitors for recreational use. Most notable, of course, is Patagonia Lake itself— a man-made reservoir that offers activities of all kinds for visitors.
For those kayaking in southern Arizona, this is one of the more popular spots to go. While the lake is open to watercraft both motorized and not, the east end is exclusively for no wake speeds and a calmer place to paddle. Many campsites, picnic tables, and shaded ramadas are available near the shore if you’re looking to relax near the lake before or after you head out, and the Lakeside Market provides rental kayaks if you don’t have your own equipment for a cool day on the water.
