Reservation Lake Kayaking
One of the more popular lakes in the White Mountains, Reservation Lake has a decent size of almost 300 acres while being high in the mountains. Accessing the lake is also a touch less convenient than others, as the last nine or so miles of road are a bumpy forest road that gets rough in rainy weather.
Once you get to this pristine lake, however, you’ll notice immediately that the forest creeps right up to the lake’s edge instead of turning into meadows and open fields like many other lakes in the region. Only open between April and November, Reservation Lake is a seasonal gem for fishing and kayaking alike— with rentals available should you need them.
