Saguaro Lake Kayaking
The fourth and last to be built reservoir on the Salt River, Saguaro Lake forms a cool spot of blue amidst the rocky hills and mountains surrounding it. Named for the bountiful amounts of saguaro cactus towering around its shores, this lake is a great getaway just outside of town.
With over 22 miles of shoreline, you’ve got plenty of space to cruise around on a kayak. The marina rents boats for visitors who do not have their own, ranging from two-seating paddle boats to individual kayaks. This lake can have lots of traffic out in the open water, so be sure to watch where you’re going or stick to the shore for a more peaceful experience.
