Walnut Canyon Rim Mountain Biking

Another part of the more expansive Arizona Trail, this ride along the rim of Walnut Canyon offers spectacular views of verdant Flagstaff scenery all around you and throughout a canyon far below.

Walnut Canyon certainly offers some interesting challenges for intermediate level bikers. While most of the trail rolls along nicely, there are spikes of difficulty amongst steep switchbacks and some limestone ledges that you may have to walk rather than bike. There are also a few turnoffs you may be tempted to skipand power past, but they’re certainly worth taking a detour for in order to get the best views this trail has to offer.
