White Tank Waterfall Trail Hiking
Perhaps the best known trail of the White Tank Mountains, this easier trail stretches only 1.8 miles out and back for a mere 265 foot elevation gain. More for popular sightseeing than a challenge, be sure to bring the family early or on a weekday to beat the crowds.
The best time to hike this trail is after a heavy rain, as the trail will have a flowing stream and its namesake waterfall. Along the way, you can admire one of the many well highlighted petroglyphs still set in boulders on the side of the trail after all these years. At the end of the trail you’ll find the signature fall itself (or a still and dusty pool, if you come during dryer months) which provides a perfect spot to stop in the shade before heading back.
