Campbell Mesa Mountain Biking
If you’re an inexperienced biker, or at least simply not accustomed to biking at Flagstaff’s high elevation, then Campbell Mesa is a great spot to start in either case. At 10.2 miles and about 500 feet of elevation gained and lost, it’s a fairly balanced loop to start on.
The buffed singletrack that makes up the trail is comfortable to ride upon as you weave amongst the ponderosa pines and get to peek at the mountains looming over town. Despite the rocky terrain, you’ll do less steep ascents than on other trails in the area, making for a great start to biking in Flagstaff.
