Cape Final Hiking
For those looking to easier day hikes on the North Rim and a more forested hike, Cape Final has what you’re looking for. This 4 mile out and back hike has an elevation gain of only 495 feet and is a perfect family friendly hike for any group outing.
Taking a winding path along the edge of the canyon, this trail benefits both from the shade of plentiful aspens and pines along with stunning views of the canyon that’s constantly off to one side. You’ll find access to many scenic vistas that provide an outlook over the canyon, and the turn around spot of Cape Final itself provides a wonderful precipice to spy out some of the Grand Canyon’s most prominent features.
