Table Mesa ATVing

Just up the I-17 and outside of the Phoenix Metro Area is Table Mesa and the Table Mesa Recreation Area, a large expanse of desert that covers over 11,500 acres and 55 miles of trails to explore on your off-roading vehicle of choice. Just be sure to have some high clearance or good technical skills, as a lot of the terrain out here can get rough.

If you are looking to rough it though, there’s some good variety out here. Following snowmelt the streams flow for cool stops and wet water crossings. While a lot of the trails out here have hard, killer names that reflect on the rough rocks you’ll be going over, there are still a number of open sandy washes and desert hills to crawl over and enjoy.
