Bright Angel Point Trail Hiking
Not to be confused with the Bright Angel Trail on the South Rim, this short and scenic hike rests on the northern half of the canyon. While this trail can feel more like a paved stroll than a proper reason to put your boots on, it’s a must on any first trip to the North Rim.
This out and back path is less than a mile long, and its relative ease means it is often packed with visitors here to see the same things you are— the views. Bright Angel Point is one of the main scenic outlooks over the North Rim, and the stunning canyon below will tempt you to pull out your camera for a photo or search the rocky canyon from afar for any hints of other trails you might be looking to descend upon your trip.
